How Much Acreage Do You Really Need?
Buyers often tell me they want “five acres” or “ten acres.”
My next question is usually: Why?
Acreage is not one-size-fits-all.
If you want privacy, the layout and neighboring properties may matter more than the exact number.
If you want horses, usable terrain, fencing, water and facilities matter.
If you want a vineyard, soils, water, climate and plantable acreage become important.
If you want a large shop or second residence, zoning and building possibilities matter.
And if you simply want room to breathe, two beautifully positioned acres may give you everything you imagined ten acres would.
Rather than beginning with a number, begin with a purpose.
Tell me what you want to do.
Then we can determine how much land—and what kind of land—actually supports it.
